:MstrPerry: I have been in the lifestyle for 2 years and had a collar on rayna for 1.5.....

:rayna: in two days we celebrate our anniversary

:cass[MV]: i am owned 24/7 by MastrVran, for 4 years now. We all four live together in the same household.

:PhntmJoe: for each of you, what drew you to live in this type of arrangement?

:cass[MV]: i had been somewhat interested in poly beofer ever meeting Master
:cass[MV]: he had been poly for years at different times
:cass[MV]: i was willing to try it, and it has worked out well
:cass[MV]: the D/s, i had slight experience before Master, but not much. but had always been submissive in personality

:rayna: I had never known anyone in the poly lifestyle.. didn't know to much about until I meet Master and cass.. I just kinda jumped in head first i suppose ;)

:cass[MV]: as far as what keeps me in it. besides the obvious, my relationship with Master:
:cass[MV]: there is more stability financially, there is more fun, than just with two

:PhntmJoe: before we get to the same question for the Masters, I wanted to introduce you all to radish, who also lives in a poly relationship

:PhntmJoe: so radish, you want to tell everyone a quick something about yourself?

:{radish}: well M and i invited K to live with us back in early 99
:{radish}: M n i had been married since '95
:{radish}: and it didnt start out this way
:{radish}: it grew :)
:{radish}: K is M's little brother
:{radish}: and it was difficult us all living in the same house w/o contact
:{radish}: K would see M n i together n all....
:{radish}: so we developed this after a while
:{radish}: it was really nice
:{radish}: because they both got their needs met
:{radish}: and i was happily the center of everyone's attention :)

:PhntmJoe: we'll talk more about radish's experiences here in a lil bit
:PhntmJoe: but right now...MasterVran, and Master Perry
:PhntmJoe: the next question is for you, and its two fold
:PhntmJoe: For both of you, as Dominants, what drew you to the poly lifestyle, and what things did you consider before setting up the household you now have

:MastrVran: Well...suppose I should go first on this one

:MastrVran: Because I have been in this real for many years. I have trained a number of girls. And still do. And will probably always do so. So for me. Poly was always around. I set the household up the old fashioned way. I fell in love with cass...then found malli and fell in love with her

:MastrVran: Then she found Perry and we fell for him too. He is great so we went from 2 to 3 to 4
:MastrVran: Perry?

:MstrPerry: I had gotten into the lifestyle....learning and playing at PEP and such, not really considering poly as a part of it untill Im met a triad, all of a sudden I realized thats it!!!!
:MstrPerry: thats what I was missing....

:cass[MV]: MasterP was a very good fit for the rest of us

:MstrPerry: there was always a need that was unfulfilled in my monogamous relationships....
:MstrPerry: and that was for alot of reasons....like security in the fact that If I wanted the attention of another that I could have it and still keep my wonderful primary relationship....
:MstrPerry: because I fell that way about sharing rayna....if she so chooses

:cass[MV]: as Master would with me, though ive not met anyone yet that i wold be interested in
:cass[MV]: outside the family i mean

:MstrPerry: well other than the obvious bennifits....weve accomplished alot in the last 2 years

:PhntmJoe: Ok...I'll toss this question out...and you all can comment on it....
:PhntmJoe: People probably ask a lot about your relationship with your Masters, but what's their relationship with each other? How do they coordinate your group's interractions and sharing/exerting authority?

:MastrVran: Thats easy
:MastrVran: Perry and I see almost eye to eye on everything..and when we dont...we work it out like adults.
:MastrVran: Never a need to one up the other or anything like that

:MstrPerry: we dont do the ego thing.....we respect each other
:MstrPerry: its never been a problem yet, and I had worried about it in the beggining....
:MstrPerry: Ive met a few Doms that had big egos

:cass[MV]: they get along very well, very similar views and actions and yes respect and neither feels the need to one up each other
:cass[MV]: and besides, they both agree rayna's a brat :)

:MastrVran: But we have no reason to fight. We just are too much alike

:rayna: For group stuff... someone just mentions if there is something that they would like the family to do
:rayna: and if we all want to... We do it

:PhntmJoe: so no one person coordinates the activities of the house?
:PhntmJoe: its a group decision?

:rayna: Not really
:MastrVran: Well...sorta
:MstrPerry: Vran has final say....

:MastrVran: But I have final say on everything
:MstrPerry: But where Im concerned his say is often..."whatever you want or what ever you feel is right Perry"
:cass[MV]: MasterV has final say but ive yet to see them disagree. They really do respect each other
:MastrVran: Exactly. Perry and I sit down, discuss things..then decide. I dont make arbitrary decisions.

:cass[MV]: well, i would...

:MastrVran: If Perry and I acted like most people think of a Dom...we would be at each others throats all the time. But we act with respect and responsibility.
:cass[MV]: i like ot think i respect Perry too, though He doesnt own me. MasterV and MasterP are the head of household, together
:MstrPerry: we also tell each other everything....I mean everyhting

:rayna: For.. Four totally different ppl.. we do very well for 85% of the time

:PhntmJoe: this is once again to all of you
:PhntmJoe: What is the biggest benefit to your poly arrangement? The biggest challenge?

:rayna: For me.. The biggest benifit is having three ppl that love me and care for me.
:MstrPerry: I think the biggest benifit is the 4 completely different view pionts that we can have on a subject or a problem
:MastrVran: The biggest obvious benifit. Is financial. The biggest actual is the closeness you get.
:cass[MV]: that takes some thinking..we have many benefits....the best is that we have so much support between us, emotional, financial, and all. and Perry and rayna are good for us, they keep us from being couch potatoes
:cass[MV]: well help , anyways.
:rayna: challenge: getting past everyones bad habit
:MastrVran: As far as problem? Just the fact that its four people living together. Some days. Someone is out of sorts. We have more someones than most. So it can get hairy at times.
:cass[MV]: biggest challenge...to me..isnt with the poly at all..its keeping all 4 of us on the same D/s track
:MstrPerry: yes....getting all those viewpionts to reach a conclusion can be a challenge

:PhntmJoe: just to throw this in, along with the current topic...how do you all work the finances out?

:cass[MV]: we have family meetings, for things that involve or bother us all. those are helpful. otherwise, we are constantly telling 2 of the other 3 things and thinking we told everyone
:MastrVran: That too is real easy. I am the finances.
:MastrVran: All money comes to my account.
:cass[MV]: we have one bank account, we all contribute to it, and He pays everything out.
:MastrVran: We all have access but I have final say there too
:PhntmJoe: so you all work?

:MastrVran: We all work yes. Some of us are just on vacation right now...for a bit

:PhntmJoe: Does your family know about your BDSM life? If you've told them, are they cool with it? Critical?

:cass[MV]: my family does not know. i am not close with them at all. i have one sister, who thinks of me as Donna Reed, more or less.
:MastrVran: My family has known for a long time. They were all cool with it while alive.
:MstrPerry: my mom doesnt...my ex does...it drives her NUTS

:rayna: Well, My brothers know... My father knows some... but not much.. and My mother is no longer with us..
:cass[MV]: i feel my sister would be quite comfortable with the poly, less so with the D/s but am planning on teling her eventually

:PhntmJoe: What's the most common misconception you encounter about polyamorous relationships? How do you correct it?

:cass[MV]: that we are all swingers and sleep with anyone walking

:MstrPerry: we dont?
:MastrVran: Thats about it

:MastrVran: If you are poly it means you are a slut. Which is not true.

:MastrVran: Have been...and are when visiting. And will be again.

:MastrVran: I have 2, Perry 1 and malli 2.

:cass[MV]: MasterV has 2 with his ex, MasterP has one that lives iwth his ex, and malli has two, that live with ex and in school. and if i was younger, i might consider a child, but not at this age

:MstrPerry: we didnt hide the lifestyle.... but we didnt throw it in thier faces either
:cass[MV]: it was funny, they notice and reprimand us when our collars were off and stuff :)

:PhntmJoe: What happens when one of your Masters wants to bring in another? Does your opinion of her have any merit in a situation like this?

:cass[MV]: Master listens to our opinion, but its up to Him who He trains or is with.

:cass[MV]: and we should, though we dont always succeed, we should present that opinion respectfully
:MastrVran: As for actually joining us. That is a family decision
:PhntmJoe: so you can't just say, I'm bringing in a new girl, that's it
:MastrVran: I would not make them accept anyone we could not all get along with.
:cass[MV]: they could, they have chosen not to PhantmJoe Sir

:MastrVran: As for training. I decide that.
:cass[MV]: or Perry decides it, in His case.

:PhntmJoe: Does it ever occur to any of you, that you don't want to be in the poly lifestyle?

:MastrVran: Not me. Lived for way to many years
:MstrPerry: no.....poly D/s was exactly what I was looking for
:cass[MV]: for me, all in all i like it. i occasionaly want to hibernate, but thats just me
:cass[MV]: and i like the fun and stimulation that having extra people around creates
:rayna: I think for me.. sometimes it gets overwhelming at times...
:MstrPerry: look at it this way.....we got to CHOOSE our family....you dont get that with blood relations.....
:cass[MV]: Master brb but i think he was done with that question, so am i
:MstrPerry: and we actually have alot less problems than most blood related families

:MstrPerry: as with any relationship.....
:MstrPerry: communication is the key

:{radish}: Well as i said M n K are brothers
:{radish}: K was 17 when he moved in with us
:{radish}: M and i were just picking up the lifestyle
:{radish}: K was very curious about it
:{radish}: so we let him in :)
:{radish}: see K is very Dommish
:{radish}: and M is not
:{radish} : so M taught K how to be firm and M taught K how to love a woman right
:{radish}: hehe
:PhntmJoe: how long did this last?
:{radish}: 3 years
:PhntmJoe: were you satisfied in the arrangement?
:{radish}: K moved out last December because my mother in law moved in with us :-o

:{radish}: we'd take him back in a second if it was practical
:PhntmJoe: so it all ended mutually...no hard feelings?

:rayna: those are basicly taken care by all three of the others in my life

:MstrPerry: so sexually we havent explored ....yet

:cass[MV]: yes we have, some , like just the other nite.

:lilwaif: how do you deal with feelings of jealousy, or do you ever have them?
:MstrPerry: yes

:MstrPerry: there will always be some kind of jelousy....
:cass[MV]: when i first began, i felt some jealousy. however as i have grown, and learned to trust and love, i rarely feel it at all
:MastrVran: My answer for me is easy. I dont have any
:cass[MV]: jealousy is based on insecurity i feel, and i dont feel insecure often
:MstrPerry: but its how you handle it that counts
:{radish}: well it was hard at first
:{radish}: K was *very* jealous
:rayna: Honestly I get jealous.. but I am working on it
:{radish}: but after a while he realized that i had enough for both of them
:Zuzzz: how do you deal with that jealousy?
:{radish}: and he wasnt upset when M n i were loving
:rayna: I talk to someone in the household about
:cass[MV]: rayna has not had as much experience as me in unlearning jealous feelings, but she is learning
:rayna: or work it out with myself with out causing a problem
:{radish}: but now that K has moved out..
:{radish}: :( i get jealous sometimes when i see him with other girls
:{radish}: but i remind myself that he isnt MINE
